It seems sddodbc.c line #603 should be changed to:
       pItem = O_HB_ITEMPUTSTRLEN( NULL, ( O_HB_CHAR * ) val, ( HB_SIZE 
) iLen - 1 );

otherwise test1.prg returns chr(0) in the end of every string.

P.S. I see we have some serious problems with mailing list.
