as messaging device, we currently use industrial siemens box [it is fixed, 
not portable], plugged into serial/com, custom made vb6 app using 
mscomm32.ocx, running on win/2003/64, but also sometimes having hangouts 
while waiting on gsm responses/confirmations, so i am seeking for some 
improvements
